Plantar Wart Removal
Plantar wart removal is a lot easier said than done. Plantar warts are non-cancerous growths found on the soles of the foot caused by the human papilloma virus (HPV). The virus normally enters the body through small cuts and broken or damaged skin. Plantar warts often develop on pressure points like the heels and the balls of your feet.
Although the most common place for warts is on your hands, the warts that grow on the soles of the feet are known as plantar warts, and have subtle differences from other varieties of warts. Plantar wart removal is probably the most difficult type of wart to remove because being on the feet the friction caused b walking can irritate the wart and the skin around it.
Signs and symptoms of plantar warts include:
– Small, fleshy, grainy lumps or bumps on the soles of the feet.
– Hard, flat growths with a rough surface and clearly defined boundaries.
– Gray or brown bumps with one or more localized black dots, which makes small clusters of blood vessels, not “wart seeds” as some people call them.
– Lumps that disturb your normal lines and edges of the skin on your feet
– Pain or tenderness when walking or running.
Since the soles of the feet have a thick skin, warts that form on the skin there can be very tough and persistent. It is important to remove your plantar warts before they spread and get/or get larger.
If you want to get rid of your plantar warts you have two options:
1. Home Plantar Wart Treatment
2. Medical Plantar Wart Treatment
Consult your doctor when:
- Warts hurt and/or are painful
- Change in color and/or appearance.
- Warts multiply, exist, or recur, even after home treatment.
- Warts interfere with your daily life.
If you have diabetes or vascular disorders, do not try to treat all the warts at home. Consult your doctor for advice.
It’s definitely cheaper to treat your warts on your own as going to the doctor is almost always going to be more expensive.
Warts can be really embarrassing and make you self conscious. Having warts on your hands or in another visible area can be embarrassing and lead to self esteem issues so it's best to treat them as soon as you can. While there are lots of "remedies" for warts, some are more effective than other, and that's why I do this blog. I've tried every remedy on the market and there are only two products I recommend.
